beadboard in kitchen

The beadboard went into the kitchen this week and it's looking great! Ken is coming to paint, to be ready for the wallpaper tomorrow, but i think it will be a nice detail and durable for the girls--who already think that the wood flooring is an excuse to RUN everywhere ;)

The base, chair, and fir strip trims are really making it look finished and i can't WAIT to see that wallpaper up above. I think that is going to be a dramatic piece to counteract the monochromatic colors there now.  (holding my breath!)
